Our Friday night services begin at 6:30 p.m. on the first two Fridays of the month and at 7:30 p.m. on the third and fourth Fridays. If there is a fifth Friday, the service begins at 6:30 p.m.

The first Friday of the month is our Family Shabbat service; our Shir Joy Musical Shabbat service is the third Friday of the month.

Tot Shabbats, designed for the very young, are held the first Friday of the month at 5:30 p.m.

Our Shabbat morning services begin at 10:00 a.m. in our Sanctuary.

For mornings when there is no Bar or Bat Mitzvah or Religious School class service, we meet in our Library for an informal Shabbat morning service and lively Torah discussion led by Rabbi Gutterman and / or Cantor Chabon.

Service descriptions:

The Family Service is geared toward families with children. We use a child-friendly siddur, the rabbi tells a story, and the cantor is often accompanied by guitar on the bima.

Shir Joy is our Musical Shabbat service. The cantor and rabbi are joined by professional musicians on the bima who infuse our sanctuary with beautiful music and spirit. Many of the melodies used during the service can be heard on the CDs which Cantor Chabon has created – Shirei Tikvah, Shir Joy and Roots and Branches.

Grade level services are also held throughout the year to give Religious School students the opportunity to participate in services with their classmates. These services are held on select Friday evenings for students in grades K-5. 6th graders participate in a Saturday morning service. This is a wonderful time for the students to practice what they have learned in class and prepare them for ‘being’ on the bima.
