Join us on Saturday morning, January 7 for a special morning of text study and tikkun olam. Cantor Chabon will lead morning minyan at 10:00 am, where we will study texts related to social action. Then will turn empathy into action as we make lunches to bring to St. Paul's Church to serve to guests of the Warm Winter Nights. The mission of the Congregation B’nai Tikvah Social Action Committee is to choose and implement, participate in, or otherwise support projects and activities that will involve and engage and foster bonds between the members (and other Committees and groups that are part) of the B’nai Tikvah community. These projects and activities should focus and be directed outward and beyond the B’nai Tikvah community, in order to help improve our world--primarily locally and with respect to Israel--by focusing on such areas as support and advocacy for social justice, environmental issues, fair treatment of Reform Judaism in Israel, and other projects and activities honoring our commitment to Tikun Olam.
