ArielLuckeyGuided by a life-long passion for the arts, public service and Jewish life, Ariel practices the cultivation of beloved community where all are welcome. He has worked in several innovative non-profit organizations including Jewish Youth for Community Action in Berkeley and, most recently, ODC in San Francisco, where he served as Archivist and Story Architect. Named a “Visionary” by the Utne Reader, Ariel directed a small theater company, wrote and produced two solo plays and performed at hundreds of theaters, universities and conferences across the country. His latest play Amnesia is a family history-based exploration of immigration and modern Jewish identity. With an MS in Environmental Science and an MFA in Interdisciplinary Arts, Ariel is an enthusiastic advocate of California sea otters, live music and dark chocolate. He lives with his love, Amanda, their two sons Niko and Mateo, and six backyard chickens in his hometown of Oakland, California.
